ONİVA – Technical Structure and Product Features

1. Structure and Assembly System

  • The ONİVA model is designed to be assembled without the need for any hand tools, using a completely mortise and tenon (tongue and groove) interlocking system.
  • All parts are detachable, reassemblable, and feature a long-lasting connection geometry.

2. Material and Solid Structure

  • The product is manufactured using 100% solid wood throughout.
  • Main structural elements are 30 mm thick solid wood,
  • Drawer boxes and front panels (klapas) feature an 18 mm thick solid wood structure.
  • All wood used is FSC certified.

3. Wood Processing and Drying Process

  • All solid surfaces are processed in CNC machining centers with precision tolerances.
  • The wood is dried in fully automated kilns to a moisture content of 10–12%.
  • After drying, the wood is sorted for solid-length (no finger-joints) and joined using the edge-glued lamination method.

4. Surface Protection and Natural Finish

  • 100% natural teak oil is applied to protect solid surfaces against water and moisture.
  • No chemical varnishes or synthetic surface coatings are used.
  • All materials used are 100% biodegradable and recyclable.

5. Glass, Metal Accessories, and Surface Treatments

  • Glass: Special opaque semi-transparent, extra-clear, 4+4 mm laminated glass is used.
  • Glass pins and metal accessories:
    • Pre-treatment via phosphate bath
    • Durability control via salt spray test
    • Electrostatic powder coating
  • Result: High corrosion resistance and long-term paint stability

6. Drawer, Door, and Mechanism Details

  • Drawer rails are manufactured entirely from solid material using a dovetail joint system.
  • Door hinges:
    • Statically painted sheet metal body
    • M10 transmission shaft
    • Produced via specialized CNC turning (lathe) and electrostatically painted.

7. Modular System and Sustainability

  • The system consists of a total of 6 modular units:
    1. Base unit
    2. Tall cabinet
    3. Hanging unit for towels
    4. Multi-tier wall-mounted shelf for accessories
    5. Wall-mounted soap dispenser and accessory unit (sink-side)
    6. Mobile towel rack unit
  • Zero-waste production is achieved through CNC optimization cutting.
  • Wood scraps that cannot be used in furniture production are repurposed for charcoal production, ensuring a circular production cycle.
